Christmas with no fireworks

Christmas is celebrated with food ,toys for kids, parties, laughter's and unity and the finale is the big boom of the firecrackers but there is one city that doesn't celebrate Christmas with firecrackers and this is Davao City. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, mayor of the said place doesn't want firecracker to be the source of burned and injuries due to blasting's, that's is why davaoenos choose to use old pans and stainless cups others were metal sheets pulled by a jeep just to make a sound. The mayor said through this thing there is no patient that will go to hospitals just because of firecracker incident every body will face the new year with a complete fingers. So, The government of Davao focuses on the Christmas lights there were lights in the park, they made the lights more beautiful they even have a contest entitled "light a tree contest". that is why there are more people visiting the park just to experienced the ambiance of Christmas.

237 Dogs Removed From an Old Woman's House In Texas

I cant believe that an old woman can have a 237 pets of defferent dreeds.

here is the full story!!!

(AP) Animal control officers removed 237 dogs from the home of a 70-year-old woman who said she had been breeding the animals, officials said.Kelli Copeland, manager of the city's Animal Care Services department, said it took about six hours Tuesday to gather up all the dogs, which were taken to a city kennel. Most of the dogs were Pomeranians, but there were also Yorkshire terriers, two standard poodles and several other breeds. Copeland said they appeared to be suffering from the close quarters."They had plenty of food and plenty of water but were not living in healthy conditions," Copeland said. "Many were covered in feces and urine. I think she slowly accumulated them to where they were more than she could handle."A workman who made a service call to the home notified the city about the dog situation. Copeland said the woman will likely face several citations from the city. One of the dogs was euthanized because of its poor condition. The woman claimed that dog had recently wandered to the house.Copeland said the city will seek custody of the dogs so they can be given to animal rescue groups."The homeowner is a very nice lady; I think she loved her dogs," Copeland said.

The Japanese Tunnel

Entrance to Japanese tunnel

Japanese Tunnel Entrance

Statue of a Japanese in the Japanese Tunnel

The Tunnel

Were inside the tunnel

This tunnel is a 300 meters stretch main line only but there are also crossings that would reach you to different places approximately 10 kilometers but we are not allowed to enter because some crossing are not owned already by the Hotel management.

More steps to reach the gold hhaha and that is the Golden Buddha.

Lights are provided for the tourist visitors to see .

Inside the tunnel, there are also chapels that Japanese made, armory, office, and they also made their water banker.

The Golden Buddha, this is only a replica but this is their real place where they worship their Buddha.

Vintage bombs were found here, and there were also gold molders discovered as a matter of fact, they exhibited them in the tunnel , there were also old guns, ammunition's and other Japanese weapons found.

Based in history this tunnel is made by Filipinos during the world war II and thousands were killed during the war here because Filipinos were made servants and forced to do forced labor.

Japanese replica inside the tunnel

Japanese replica only

Davao City is colonized for many years by the Japanese and there are tunnels made during world war II. Tunnels are present in Mintal , buhangin area, Maa and diversion roads in Davao City. During those days, Japanese used tunnels as there means of transportation channels so that enemies of the war can't locate them easily, there are tunnels made as far as 10 kilometers stretch and there were also crossing points below the ground, Japanese tunnel tour guide told us that during world war II Davao City's main product is Abaca and almost all areas in MIntal were planted with Abaca plant , I agree with him because Our farm in Mintal area is full of Abaca plants before when my father bought that parcel of land way back 1970's and I also saw the title of that land under (NAFCO) National Abaca Fibers Company which is owned by the Japanese long time ago. but now a days, many tunnels were destroyed due to too much improvement of the city, some were disregarded and not preserve but there are some that was preserved like this hotel named The Japanese Tunnel, a hotel that is constructed above the tunnel ...
